Native search is good at exact matches. It struggles when shoppers describe a need rather than a product, “a coffee machine with a grinder under $1,000,” “supportive walking shoes that still look professional.” Vendio handles those queries through semantic understanding, then layers on guided conversation, comparison, and in-chat purchase. It complements your existing search; it doesn’t replace it.

Second, configurable guardrails block off-topic conversations and enforce brand tone. Third, a runtime evaluation framework scores every response for relevance, accuracy and grounding, with low-scoring conversations flagged for review. You see what Vendio is saying to your shoppers, and you can correct course in days, not months.
No. Your catalogue, your conversations and your shoppers’ inputs stay yours. We don’t use customer data to train third-party foundation models, we don’t share data across customers, and we sign DPAs aligned to GDPR, CCPA and the Australian Privacy Principles. Conversation data is retained only as long as you need it for analytics; retention windows are configurable.
Most pilots go from kickoff to live widget in under four weeks. Stage 1 is catalogue connection and configuration (week 1–2). Stage 2 is sandbox testing with your team (week 2–3). Stage 3 is a limited live pilot on selected pages, with conversion tracked against control (week 3–4). Enterprise rollouts with SSO, custom guardrails and data residency take longer, typically 8–12 weeks, but the core experience is live within the same four-week window.
We agree the success metric with you before kickoff, usually one of: conversion rate uplift on engaged shoppers, average order value, CX ticket deflection, or time-to-purchase. Early pilots have shown measurable lift on each, with the strongest results in categories where shopper guidance matters most (premium goods, technical products, gifting).
